New Prints

The Australian environment is both beautiful and brutal, annual bushfires engulf the land indiscriminately. Apart from the destructive force of fires they are also vital to the regeneration of various plant species. The artwork for this Zaishu takes the inspiration from our bushlands featuring gum leaves, Waratah seed pods and a landscape from the Alpine National Park two years after fires savaged the area.

Zaishu and BMW Mini International have donated $50 to Ripple for each Tin and Ed Zaishu sold. Thanks to everyone involved in the project and for the Zaishu customers who now own one of the 50 limited edition Tin and Ed Zaishus. We only have 3 Zaishus left before they sell out.

Eco Chic

Vorovoro Island, Fiji

Zaishu goes to Fiji for our latest art project featuring traditional Masi tribal stenciling techniques. Special thanks to Kaz Brecher from LA for organising and managing the project. Kaz is the cheif from TribeWanted, they are building a sustainable tourist resort to support the local Fijian community. They will screen print and paint our 'Baby' Zaishu's which will then be available from ReForm School in LA. This is a not for profit project supporting the Mali District School in Fiji.

'Koi ' (Carp) symbolic for love and friendship in Japan makes our new Zaishus the perfect gift for friends and lovers. Front & Back Japanese Koi in black Sides turtles in a metallic pink/brown Top Japanese fans & flowers in silver.

Sydney Australia

The Green Building Council of Australia uses Zaishus at their new Green Star rated headquarters in Sydney. Zaishus are independently certified with a Good Environmental Choice label and give a maximum 100 points towards the green star rating of a building.

New York

The New York Post newspaper has included Zaishu in an article titled 'Best Buys for Eco Shoppers'. Zaishus can be purchased on line and delivered to anywhere in the USA within 1 week. We also have US stores listed on our contacts page.

Yamba, NSW, Australia

Sevtap has collected 15 original Florence Broadhurst Zaishus for her Mediterranean cafe in Yamba Australia. These limited edition Zaishus were made for our exhibition in Milan 2005. All of which have now sold out.

Melbourne

Your Zaishu will now arrive flat pack in this unbleached calico bag. The practical size and drawer string means you can re use it as a beach bag, library bag, shoe bag etc etc. The bags are made with love and care by the women at Threads who have intellectual disabilities. Threads is a happy and positive workshop and we are proud to support this important initiative in our community.

Tandådalen, Sweden

The Swedish Ski resort at Tandådalens uses Florence Broadhurst printed Zaishus in its cafe. The architects chose Zaishus because of their durability and unique shape. The Zaishus were delivered within 1 week flat pack by international courier and assembled by staff.

Stradbroke Island, Australia

The famous Stradbroke Island Hotel and Spa resort are using Zaishus as bedside tables in their luxury hotel rooms. A total of 24 neutral coloured Cloth and Bamboo print Zaishus help to create an earthy and calming vibe for the beach front rooms.

Powerhouse Museum, 500 Harris Street, Ultimo Sydney NSW

We are happy to announce that 2 Zaishus have been purchased by the Powerhouse Design Museum for their permanent collection. These Zaishus feature prints from Spacecraft and Cloth and are on permanent display next to the famous Lockheed Lounge by Marc Newson.

Samparc Childrens Village, Lonavala, India

This image of 100 Zaishus is part of our non profit project in India. All panels were hand painted in India by Warli tribal artists, Rangoli artists, school children and traditional sign writers. Proceeds supported the artists and children from Samparc Children's Village. A documentary made by Mike Crowhurst about this project was shown at the Powerhouse Design Museum.

Byron Bay, Australia

Zaishu and our friends at Third Drawer Down, Dumbo Feather magazine and Bluesquare furniture sponsored Rainforest Rescue to plant 1000 trees in the Byron Bay sand dunes. Our aim is to restore endangered coastal rainforest for birds, wildlife and the public to visit and enjoy. It also helps in a small way to offset the carbon used in Zaishu production and transportation.

Innocent Bystander winery in Healesville has selected 16 Zaishus for their architect designed cellar door, bakery and restaurant.
